about us

collectively well is a down to earth wellness community built around slowing down, setting boundaries, and reconnecting with what truly matters.

we bring breathwork, mindfulness, and authentic self-care into accessible spaces to support wellbeing at work, at home, and in our communities.

authentic self care & real world wellbeing

we’re redefining self-care beyond surface-level solutions. life isn’t always love and light — it’s also dark and messy. while bubble baths are lovely, we’re here for the deeper inner work that’s needed to heal from the inside out.

authentic Self-care means strengthening the mind–body connection, honoring the spirit, and expanding our capacity to sit with discomfort. it means setting boundaries to protect our peace and prioritizing care that meets us where we’re at.

real-world wellbeing is not a destination — it’s an evolving spectrum. it looks like embracing both green juice and cheeseburgers, charging crystals alongside phones, and being in right relationship with both nature and community.

we also acknowledge the reality: systems of oppression profit from our disconnection. true collective wellbeing requires unlearning harmful conditioning, nurturing one another, and reimagining the systems we live within.

at collectively well, we hold space for that unlearning and rebuilding — creating experiences where slowing down, softening, and supporting each other becomes an act of liberation. together, we’re co-creating the foundations of collective care and authentic freedom.

“one of the most vital ways we sustain ourselves is building communities of resistance. places we know we are not alone.”

land & lineage acknowledgement

we at collectively well acknowledge that our work takes place on the unceded land of the Kumeyaay people, who have cared for this region for generations and continue to do so today. we honor their sovereignty, wisdom, and ongoing presence in san diego, and we recognize that collective wellbeing is inseparable from indigenous liberation.

the practices we share — breathwork, mindfulness, and community care — are rooted in sacred global traditions. we honor pranayama from yogic philosophy, mindfulness meditation from buddhist lineages, and conscious connected breath rooted in indigenous healing traditions across the americas and beyond. personally, I carry my own irish/celtic and syrian ancestry, and part of my commitment is to remember these roots, acknowledge my privilege, and contribute to a more liberated future. each year, we give back through contributions to the san dieguiño kumeyaay nation, the san diego lgbtq center, and other community fundraisers, knowing that acknowledgment without action is incomplete.

community agreements

we build on authenticity, kindness, and radical self-acceptance by uncovering & uplifting your unique perspective.

we value confidentiality, respect, consent and boundaries through open communication and active listening.

we honor individual, collective, and systemic trauma without requiring disclosure.

we acknowledge the lineage of our practices with reverence—recognizing buddhism, pranayama, yogic principles, and both african & south american tribal shamanism as influences.

we elevate BIPOC & indigenous practitioners and honor pioneers like bell hooks and audre lorde for teaching us that body-based liberation and radical self-care are foundations for social justice.

we actively decolonize from harmful capitalistic conditioning by dismantling white supremacy culture and all forms of discrimination in our minds, bodies & spirits.

shannon guides you back to your inner knowing as a facilitator, not a guru, honoring our collective experience.

we create spaces that connect you with your inherent strength to navigate life with grounded confidence and chosen resilience.

our hope: you leave feeling more alive & less alone.

  • The community breathwork session with collectively well was a powerful experience that helped me release tension I had been holding for a long time. Shannon creates a safe, supportive space, and I left feeling a sense of calm and clarity.

  • The experience I had at community breathwork with collectively well was phenomenal. Shannon has a presence and a gift. She creates a safe space to lead you through an experience that for some may be uncomfortable. Through harnessing vulnerability as a skill and sharing her authentic journey, she’s able to foster a space for community and connection that is second to none. Even if you have ‘any inkling’ or internal ping, to try breathwork- Do it!

  • I didn't actually know what breathwork was until trying it but I knew I needed something to help cope with the daily stressors of life. Every time I leave a breathwork session with collectively well, I come away with a tangible solution to what I am experiencing. The best part is that while Shannon is the one to guide me, it is my mind that takes me to that solution.

our story

getting diagnosed with cancer in the middle of COVID led shannon to make mind, body, spirit healing her full time job. breathwork was the most powerful tool she found, bringing more profound progress than years of therapy and empowering her to live with embodied authenticity from the inside out.

a consistent practice supported her in leaving new york city for a change of pace in san diego. after getting laid off soon after, she was confronted with the nonlinear nature of healing and the importance of a diverse range of practices to lean on. she continues to do the work to slow down & let go of the ways hustle culture hijacked her healing.

collectively well was created to meet you where you’re at. the mission to elevate collective wellbeing comes from a passion in connecting people with their authentic Selves to build a wholehearted society working towards collective liberation.

today, shannon is a speaker, breathwork facilitator and community organizer based on kumeyaay land in san diego. her private practice serves behavioral health centers, the cancer community, and workplaces looking for support in managing burnout and optimizing wellbeing. she holds space for a handful of private clients looking to grow through change. when she’s not holding space, you can find her buried in a book, plunging in the pacific or going for walk and talks on sunset cliffs.
