shannon is a certified breathwork practitioner with training in hypnobreathwork® & the conscious connected breath through breath liberation society. with over 200 hours of training and hundreds of private & group sessions under her belt, shannon is currently working towards her global professional breathwork alliance certification. trauma awareness, integrity & acknowledgement of the lineage of the breath is paramount to her practice.
shannon holds space for you to come into your body and connect with your inner knowing through your power and your breath. their coaching style is grounded in gentle accountability and invites you to let go of perfectionism and people pleasing to listen to yourself and live with more freedom.
at her core, shannon is a deep feeling neurospicy human. she has lived experience as a cancer survivor and corporate burnout with a former baseline of soul crushing anxiety. she tends to support people navigating transitional seasons, whether life is changing around them or they are seeking to make change themselves.

breathwork is any use of your breath with attention & intention. the breath’s power has been known and honored by indigenous cultures for centuries. it also has origins in Eastern practices such as pranayama in yoga and buddhism.
modern “breathwork” gained popularity the 1970's through the work of Dr. Stanislav Grof & Leonard Orr when they explored the similar outcomes between deep cyclical breathing & psychedelics. in an unsurprising turn of events, capitalism in the West turned it into a tool for peak performance and productivity.

self-healing breathwork infuses hypnotic prompting into the conscious connected breath. it can support in processing stored emotions in the body, facilitating energetic release and connecting you with mental clarity and therapeutic insight. the hypnotic prompting supports in identifying and releasing limiting beliefs for more sustainable behavior change.
research shows that breathwork can lower stress levels in the body, support healthier sleep, and alleviate anxiety. a consistent practice can deepen your mind body connection to support energy levels, sharpen focus and enhance creativity.

while it would be supportive for most individuals to build a relationship with their breath, self-healing breathwork is not for everyone. it is not recommended for individuals who are in their first trimester of pregnancy, have a detached retina, glaucoma or a cardiac health condition.

yes and no.
shannon takes a trauma informed approach to the practice. She prioritizes holding a supportive space that guides you back to your own inner wisdom and empowers you to take care of yourself and advocate for your needs throughout your time together.
with that said, breathwork can surface stored memories that carry high emotional intensity. It is recommended for folks joining participating in breathwork to be in therapy and/or have additional support for their processing and healing outside of the space.

The authentic Self is your true essence. It is the energy you embodied when you came into this world. It's not your identity, who you think you are, who society told you you should to be or who you've always been. It's who you are in your soul, in your spirit.
Your Self energy embodies compassion, curiosity, calmness, creativity, courage, connectedness, confidence and clarity. Yes, you have all of that energy within you.
Building a relationship with the breath is a path to building a relationship with your Self. The more willing you are to shed layers, identities and old stories, the more space you will create to embody all of the above energy.
It's simple but it's not easy. That's why you don't have to do it alone.
