available virtually or in san diego. sliding scale options available.
the authentic shift.
three or six months of transformational body-led support.
weaving breathwork, somatic coaching, and intentional practices to help you reconnect with yourself, reclaim your energy, and get clearer on how you want to live, lead, and show up for the world you want to see.
different than therapy. different than traditional coaching. somatic at the foundation, structured enough to move you, spacious enough to follow what's actually present.
we begin with your foundations: values, vision, where your energy is going and whether it's going where you want it to.
from there we'll move through what's present: the mind-body-spirit connection, radical acceptance, reclaiming your power and expressing your truth. - even if only to yourself.
we’ll get clear on how you want to show up. for yourself, your people and the world you want to see.
sessions will likely move into parts work, shadow exploration and inner child healing. not because it's required, but because it tends to be what’s asking to be witnessed. we'll follow what's ready to move.
the container includes bi-weekly sessions, recordings, journal prompts, and integration tools.
we’re not chasing an outcome, just committing to the process together.
sometimes you come out of it with deeper clarity. sometimes it facilitates big life changes.
wherever you are, you’re not alone in it.
this is for you if:
you feel like you’re talking in circles in therapy without seeing meaningful change outside of it.
you know you need to slow down but you don’t know how or where to start.
you’re ready (enough) to explore the depths and process pieces of the past that may come up.
you’re considering a change - personal, professional or existential - and want to feel confident through it.
you are ready to feel in deeper integrity with how you live, lead, and show up for the world you want to build.
you are ready (enough) to deepen your relationships with your Self and your community.
you’re willing to unlearn what isn’t yours and tease back the layers of your conditioning that no longer fits.
you are down to unpack capitalism, hustle culture & patriarchy from your nervous system.
you want a soft landing with gentle accountability for any or all of the above.
virtual & hybrid available in san diego.

their words, not mine
Shannon was truly born to do breathwork and this kind of mind-body work for people. They holdssuch a safe and comfortable space, even virtually, and really help you to tap into the mind-body connection in such a beautiful, meaningful way. Their openness, warmth and loving nature is so powerful and I would encourage anyone and everyone to do a breathwork session with her.
— maddy
I didn't actually know what breathwork was until working with Shannon but I knew I needed something to help cope with the daily stressors of life. Every time I leave a breathwork session, I come away with a tangible solution to what I am experiencing. The best part is that while Shannon is the one to guide me, it is my mind that takes me to what I need.
— leor
Working with Shannon has been transformative. Her compassionate, non-judgmental, expert guidance helped me reconnect with my inner self—something I desperately needed to heal from within. Each session is a powerful journey of discovery, awareness, and calm. What’s even more remarkable is that Shannon has taught me how to access that support outside our sessions, like having a best friend within. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking deep inner connection.

a note from shannon
if you've made it this far, i'm glad you're honoring your curiousity or considering this work.
before you book i want to name a few things…
sessions are trauma-informed, which means you’ll be reminded that you are in control the whole time. we follow what's present, not a script or framework. the space is always yours without pressure to perform or expectation on how you show up.
i will always meet you where you’re at and ease you into the practice.
with that said… sessions are both intuitive and alive. they often move into energetic territory. emotional processing, and unexpected clarity with connections to your own inner knowing.
sometimes you feel held by something that feels bigger than yourself. you don't have to believe in any sort of higher power, you just have to be willing to breathe.
you tend to get what you need, even if it's not what you thought you needed.
a few things worth knowing before we begin: breathwork isn't recommended if you're in your first trimester of pregnancy, have a detached retina, glaucoma, epilepsy or a cardiac health condition.
if any of these apply, reach out before booking and we'll figure out what's most supportive for you.
breathwork can also surface stored memories or emotions. if you're in an active mental health crisis or not currently supported by a therapist or community, please reach out first so we can connect you in with additional resources.
if you're not sure whether this is right for you — that's exactly what the discovery call is for.
thanks for being here, it’s an honor and a privilege to hold space for this kind of healing work.
want to bring this kind of support to your workplace or organization?

FAQs
-
a breath practice combines meditation and breathwork to create a spiritual practice that meets you where you’re at and guides you to your inner knowing.
meditation is passive and is intended to build a compassionate relationship with your mind for more mental clarity.
breathwork is active. it supports you in shifting your state - whether mental, physical or emotional.
folks with busy minds tend to resonate deeply with breathwork as a gateway into a deeper meditation practice.
building a practice that incorporates both tools allows you to build deeper self awareness for more lasting transformation and sustainable change.

breathwork is any use of your breath with attention & intention. the breath’s power has been known and honored by indigenous cultures for centuries. it also has origins in Eastern practices such as pranayama in yoga and mindfulness meditation buddhism.
modern “breathwork” gained popularity the 1970's through the work of Dr. Stanislav Grof & Leonard Orr when they explored the similar outcomes between deep cyclical breathing & psychedelics. in an unsurprising turn of events, capitalism in the West turned it into a tool for peak performance and productivity.
we tap into breath awareness to build a relationship with the breath, back pocket breathwork for meditative re-centering practices and the conscious connected breath to give your brain a break & feel into your body for mind body spirit healing.
deeper breath practices involve increasing oxygen through bigger inhales to reach altered states of conscious by quieting the default mode network., activating the hypothalamus and releasing stored energy in the nervous system.
every session is different. some feel like a psychedelic trip, some feel like a nap and others feel like a relaxing meditation. the active practice is always followed by a meditation to support nervous system regulation.

phew, where to start?
before getting into breathWORK, we focus on building a relationship with your breath as a tool for everyday grounding, self awareness & emotional regulation. it’s much easier to take care of yourself when you know how you feel and what what you need. your breath is your path to understand your needs.
self-healing breathwork infuses hypnotic prompting into the conscious connected breath. it can support in processing stored emotions in the body, facilitating energetic release and connecting you with mental clarity and therapeutic insight. the hypnotic prompting supports in identifying and releasing limiting beliefs for more sustainable behavior change.
research shows that breathwork can lower stress levels in the body, support healthier sleep, and alleviate anxiety. a consistent practice can deepen your mind body connection to support energy levels, sharpen focus and enhance creativity.

while it would be supportive for most individuals to build a relationship with their breath, self-healing breathwork is not for everyone. it is not recommended for individuals who are in their first trimester of pregnancy, have a detached retina, glaucoma or a cardiac health condition.

yes and no.
shannon takes a trauma informed approach to the practice. She prioritizes holding a supportive space that guides you back to your own inner wisdom and empowers you to take care of yourself and advocate for your needs throughout your time together.
with that said, breathwork can surface stored memories that carry high emotional intensity. It is recommended for folks joining participating in breathwork to be in therapy and/or have additional support for their processing and healing outside of the space.
you are encouraged to share any access needs or ways Shannon can make the environment more supportive for you in order to optimize for safety in your experience. -
